What The VoIP
From What The Wiki?!
It's hard to miss these days: Voice over IP (VoIP).
But how does it really work in practice? The purpose of the WTVoIP Project is to get together, share insights and do some experimenting. This includes:
- show off the VoIP hardware you brought to WTH
- if you have a working VoIP setup, demonstrate how it works!
- building our own Asterisk-based test VoIP network
- see if we can interconnect with other VoIP networks
- test drive various (soft)phones
Both experts and people who don't know the first thing about this (as well as anyone in between) are very welcome!
As soon as the schedule becomes clearer we can select one or more times and places to get together for all this VoIP fun. If anyone with a big tent wants to host one or more of these sessions, leave the info here or contact me. (Laptop screens are hard to read in direct sunlight...)

I would be interested in building embedded VoIP PBXes, e.g. asterisk on a WRAP board with ISDN support and could share my already gathered knowledge. Anybody around to support me?

We're getting together friday around 13.00 at the SECURITY.NL tent. (close to the bar tent, across the road from the lecture tent 2)! You can recognize me by my red/green/yellow bicycle.

Hi! how did it go? I only saw the meeting now. sorry. are you going to do something in the VoIP thing? I like very much the theme, and I also have some personal asterisk servers running. it seems that there are no sessions about VoIP in our WTH. Hope to see you.
