For years I've been struggling with my bookmarks. Where to keep them? How to merge old bookmarkfiles with new ones? This website might solve some, not all of the problems.

How does it work? Usually bookmarks are organized in sections or folders, which are organized themselves in a hierarchical structure. This site, however, uses a network-like structure to store them. That means that a section can be found under one or more sections.

If you sumbit your bookmarkfile and it contains a section that is already there in the database, it merges the two. That means that the items in your section are added to the items in the existing section, and the same happens for the parent section(s) of your section. Just give it a try.

I've merged several bookmarkfiles so far and welcome any other submissions.

Here's how to do it:

1. Mozilla Firefox: Go to Manage Bookmarks and export the file. Then upload this file to the website.

2. Internet Exploder: Export Favorites to a file and upload this file.
