Water Rockets at Night

At night the water rockets are even more spectacular. We added a small battery on one side of the bottle and a driver on the other to power a 1 meter long EL light. The light was wrapped around the bottle. The bottle itself was sprayed with neon paint. In the images you can see the green light wrapped around a ghost image of the bottle which in itself is invisible. The images were made by using a long exposure and manually using 3 strobes at different intervals. Thanks to Arnd for creating the EL wrapped bottle.
