Travel by train

Just in case you're going to be stuck taking the regular old-fashioned 20th-century kind of train...

There is a train station in the town nearby, it is called "Boxtel", some railway websites know how to get you there. Once you get there, our shuttle service will get you to the field, and back to the station when you wish to go home.

In case that there isn't a shuttlebus (like during buildup) you can get a 'deeltaxi' by PZN. You have to call them at least one (1) hour in advance on 0900-5495490.

For the shuttles, also see Transport/Shuttle Busses

Sharing a regular taxi is of course also possible. (We'll post taxi availability at the station, phone number and approximate cost to/from the campsite as soon as we find out.)

Websites

Our Dutch, German,Belgian and French friends can tell you how to travel to boxtel

For Boxtel, you can however get this page in Dutch with general info and their depart schedules in pdf:

Tickets

A normal ticket with the dutch railways (NS) will cost you about 15 euro for a single journey from schiphol.

If you want to buy a ticket you are advised to use the ticketmachine. If you want to try this machine at home the dutch railways have some flash ticketmachine online filled with almost actual prices. Note that most of these machines only take cards (PIN (Maestro), chipknip (digital wallet) at schiphol airport and amsterdam central those automates take also creditcards. In boxtel they don't), no cash - if they take cash, it's only coins.

If you don't have a valid ticket you can buy it in the train. This can cost you up to 14 euro more.

Additional comments (Becha) :

Warning: there is no such thing as a "return ticket", at least not in the sense known in many other countries: you can not buy a cheaper ticket to go back to schiphol after WTH! You just need to get two times single ticket. Do not make a mistake of buying a "dayreturn", because it is valid for going back only on the same day!)

Special offer: If there are three people traveling together from Schiphol to Boxtel and back, you can consider "zomertour": ticket for 3 people for 79 EUR. Check it out on www.ns.nl .

(maybe it's also something for two people, who have to pay one-way ticket more then 15 EUR -- "zomertour" offer is 59 EUR for two)

Treintaxi

It seems that the treintaxi does come to the campsite!!!
Costs are 4,10 euro per person.
So if you are with several people it still might be cheaper to take a normal taxi (cab).

previous message:
Unfortunately, the traintaxi people have informed us a traintaxi ticket will not cover the distance from the train station to WTH.
There is however a deeltaxi, see above.

Hacktrain

The HackTrain would've been the premium choice for German visitors, but it got cancelled.
