Tickets

From What The Wiki?!

Our Online Ticket Counter is closed since July 3rd. Transfering money to our bankaccount now does not give you a ticket or even guarantee it. Please use the reservation system instead, or you might have to pay again at the entrance.

Buying your ticket on site

Please note that we are not sold out, neither are we likely to be. The camp site is quite large.

At the entrance we will accept PIN cards, EuroCard, Master Card and VISA. And Euros, of course.

Ticket Reservation

You want to buy your ticket at the entrance, but would feel better to have a ticket-guarantee in your pocket when you start your travels? We have opened an online ticket reservation system. You can reserve a ticket with a single click

To keep you awake, we’ve worked out an interesting three stage pricing scheme. Just keep on reading, because it gets better with every step.

Corporate tickets

Corporate tickets sell at an amazingly low price of €1500,-, and should be bought by those that need any kind of official receipt to give to their corporate accounting department as well as by those that need an extra tax write-off. Receipts will be printed on very expensive paper, possibly even with a watermark. Corporate tickets perfectly suit the needs of those whose corporate managers would disapprove of shabby conferences that cost only €150,-(*). A corporate ticket lets your company sponsor the event, without the hassle of getting people to actually agree to sponsor it. At the event itself the corporate entrance armband looks surprisingly similar to all the other armbands, and it offers no special advantages. Or it must be that special smirky smile...

(*) Yes: we really did in the past get requests from participants that told us they could only come if the conference cost more.

'Volunteer tickets', a.k.a. the normal rate

After all: we're all volunteers. Tickets for the entire event cost €150,- if you buy them at the door.

The What The Hack entrance ticket isn't dirt cheap and we know it. We would certainly like to make it dirt cheap, but unfortunately we do not see a way to do so. The simple reason for this is that location, infrastructure and various facilities cost quite a bit of money. Prices are quite high in The Netherlands and the number of rules and regulations that organisers of events have to abide by is growing daily. What The Hack is a non-profit, non-commercial event, but we have to somehow break even. We did get a few kind donations from corporate entities, which made the event possible in the first place, but we decided to generally keep sponsor visibility to a minimum.

But hey: You’ll get four days of interesting lectures and workshops, the ability to camp for up to 10 days, the chance to meet cool people from all over the world, make friends, exchange ideas and have a lot of fun.

We do not have daytickets (otherwise we would have to check the whole site every evening for people that would have to leave), but if you arrive late, there are cheaper tickets:
if you arrive Saturday it will be €100, on Sunday it will be €50.

Buying your ticket in advance

The advance discount period is over. You can not buy tickets in advance anymore. Please do not transfer money to our bankaccount, you run the risk that you will still have to pay at the entrance.

Early-bird discount

The early-bird discount period is over.
