Project Streamtime

Most of the people in the world that hear about iraq, think about war, terrorism, saddam and many other bad things. Today someone of the linux users group in iraq came to WhatTheHack clear some of those things out. When saddam was ruling, he did not allow people to import hardware, software, PC magazines.

The goverment was listening to phones,trying to find internet connections, listening to radios and so on. Everybody that got caught would at least be executed. The people that had llegal internet access had a crappy dial-up connection and most pages got blocked. Hotmail, Yahoo, forums, Mail websites are all blocked.

Now, in 2005, there are hundreds of ISPs. The connections aren't monitored anymore and people can communicate with others. The crew from streamtime mostly broadcast a radio stream. But not everyone likes the project, the streamtime website got ddossed and SQL injected a few times. They announced they need people that could help to secure their website.
