Talk:Wireless a village casestudy

From What The Wiki?!

Hi Lothar

I hope that you have receive my other email to the list.

the discussion I plan to facilitate I want to be about wireless communities everywhere and not about a specific project. I think that the discussion will be very helpful to you and the project that you are speaking about. As I say in my other email, I want to talk only about non-technical challenges so I do not think that it is a good thing to join our two discussions together.

Do you want to work with me on the discussion? If you want to add some comments to the wiki about the discussion on non-technical challenges then we can make sure that we answer all your questions in the discussion!

I am looking forward to discussing your project further with you. Your project looks very exciting and is full of technical and non-technical challenges!

Regards, rob

Hi,

Yep, I think thats a good approach. The discussion I would like to facilitate is slightly overlapping but still different to Robs, but Input from OLSR and Robs workshop is highly appreciated.

The biggest difference is that the motivation to build a such network in a not well developed rural area is different to the challenge to build something on top of existing DSL or whatever internet access lines. In my case, this network would be the only way to get to internet. Therefore the message and the type of people to address might be different.

Place-wise it is hard to judge for me... would my discussion rather a campfire (sorry gasfire ;) ) discussion or will we expect 50 ppl and need a tent?

If possible I would not mind the big tent after Rob, but a small sit in in one of the wireless village tents would be fine as well.
