You use a pump (bike-pump) to put the air in the bottle under pressure. This air-pressure compresses/pushes the water at the bottom of the bottle untill enough pressure is built-up to eject the bottle-cap. Water is jetted out of the bottle propelling it upward untill all the water in the bottle is used up. FooBar 17:00, 6 Jul 2005 (CEST)
I use a garden hose fitting for WTH because i think its a bit safer. Thats also the main reason for using 0.5L bottles instead the 1.0L. The fitting its self is a bit leaking, so during pumping water is already spewing out of the rocket. At a certain moment, i pull the quickrelease backwards and the bottle shoots up.. Advantage: i know when its gonna be airborne. But if people feel confident about it, we can use a stopper mechanism with bigger bottles :))Hairyscary 18:05, 7 Jul 2005 (CEST)
