Would like to ask about compatibility of my dect phone. Can't find an email address to send question to. It is a Profoon PDX-1000 (http://www.profoon.com/drdl/pdx-1000.html). Thanks. Cima
http://www.profoon.nl/FAQ/faqtxt.html#05 The phone does not support GAP and afaik therefore is NOT usable at WTH. Aldert Hazenberg 18:50, 2 Jul 2005 (CEST)
Info added. Even if your phone is not in the list, bring it as long as it's not listed as 'not working'. Thali 18:45, 2 Jul 2005 (CEST)
Is there any chance in hacking it into a working device? If not there is a small possibility I can get another one. If yes that would be so much more fun. I'm willing to take a risk here. Cima 11:27, 3 Jul 2005 (CEST)
I doubt it. But you can buy a working phone at WTH. ScottyTM 24 July 2005 06:14 (CEST)
Analogue phones
There also is the possibility to register an analogue phone, how will this be arranged? Will there be a centralised point, or can I plug in at a station node somewhere?
Just come to the POC and talk to one of the guys. ScottyTM 24 July 2005 06:12 (CEST)
real world number
What phone number will the outside world use to communicate with WTH?
interconnection with VoIP networks?
Hi
I will bring my dect portable, but I was interested to know if you are going to give access from other networks, like FWD for example? that way we could redirect some calls to our WTH number. What do you think?
Off course you could open up some SIP / IAX2 connection for that too. even simpler maybe.
Hope to see you on Monday or Tuesday.

Do you need the base-stations?
Or does the mobile part suffice? In case you need any of those alphanumerical codes printed on the station...

You only need the mobile part, unless of course, you need the base-station to charge your phone. If you are not sure how to connect your phone to an other basestation, please also bring the manual of your phone. This makes the work for the POC much easier. (at least if it's written in an understandable language :-)
