From What The Wiki?!

- when are the newsflashes? frequency is very irregular ...

I think when there is something important enough to to require one. Makes sense to me... or would you rather have a weekly newsflash, sometimes without any news?

Perhaps weekly are better , or maybe just keep 'current news' on a placeholder for the next edition. It's hard to believe that a week can go by without news...
