To Do

1. Creating a duty-roster. Is not open for fill-in by volunteers anymore

2. checking if any of the volunteers are vegetarian or muslim, the cook needs to know...

3. WE NEED BIKES!! if you have a bike, and don't mind sharing it, take it with you if possible.

What does it involve basically ?

Running the Security team involves:

  • checking at the 'gate' after the cashiers if everybody has a wristband
  • crew and handicapped people may park on the crew-parking lot
  • checking access to the crewparking and leaving people through who are 'allowed', the road to the crewparking is closed by a wood fence
  • cars can drive onto the main road to the campfield to drop off equipment, after that they HAVE to leave and park in the designated areas
  • checking fire extinguishers on the site, for presence and pressure on own initiative and report to Remco.
  • there will be an escalation & communication plan
  • there will be a booklet with camping rules, emergency numbers, etc.
  • the barn on field L is for storage and contains asbestos. if this barn burns down, the event is over !! so no funny stuff there.
Perhaps it's a good idea to disallow any kind of fire (including cigarettes), sparks and fuel in and within 5 meters from the barn. Why isn't the water supply stored in this barn? :) (Should we put up notices and a small fence or something? - Soapy 23/07 14:00)
  • on wednesday and thursday wristband checks should be enforced more carefully
  • the cashiers office will be open tuesday-evening/wednesday morning, after this, everybody should get and wear their wristband
  • at the crossroads there should be people standing who can lead people to the right direction
  • Checking the landingstrip where emergency helicopters will land, to make sur no loose objects are laying around wich could get sucked into the rotor-blades

(field D will be the emergency helicopter landingfield)

  • There will have to be volunteers who don't mind working the graveyard-shifts.
  • This means guarding the gate @night, and walking surveillance-rounds.
