Dick Lawrence worked at Digital Equipment for many years before his present employment at Intel. He began studying energy issues with the book "Beyond Oil" in 1986, has spent 25 years making an old farmhouse more energy efficient, and now considers the implications of Peak Oil at the global level. He tries to meet with other energy-concerned people wherever his travels take him.
