Power supply & distribution

Volunteers

General information

The power supply on site will be 230V AC @ 50hz, some of it from the main power grid, the rest from generators.

We'll be providing sockets that will accept standard north european plugs. At most sites you will be able to plug in the regular 'household' style connectors, while at several locations you may also be able to plug in single phase 16A CEEform connectors.

More Power

If you believe you really really need somewere to plug in your 32A connector, please contact someone from the power team first.

While we will do our best to provide plenty power connections on most fields, don't expect us to drop you a socket directly at your your tent, so please bring enough extension cord to be able to reach a neighbour or a distribution box in the area, 15 meters or more of power cable is a very good idea.

Cables

For cables outside a tent, use outdoor cables like H 07 RN -F and waterproof connectors IP 54. Then there will be no Problems if it should rain.

The smaller the diameter of your cable is, the lower the voltage at your plug will be. So try to use a minimum of 1,5mm² cables.

Caveat with plug adapters
