Out of pegs and UTP cable
From What The Wiki?!
Although we had plenty of pegs made, it seems that many people took several pegs and now we're out. For the field that is. We still have pegs for the main tents. People have reported problems with DHCP (and there have been problems) but this should be fully operational now. If people have pegs they do not use, please bring them back to the field headquarters (FHQ). The pegs were made just because it's fun to have. We didn't expect people actually using them :-)
Also, people have been requesting lots of UTP cable and making connections directly with the switches in the Dixie "toilets". We had anticipated in people sharing their connections. Please, hook up to a tent near you instead of laying all the extra cable. The 15kms(!) that was sponsored by BIT has all but gone at this stage. We cannot provide you with more UTP cabling. You could try and find people with long cables to the Dixies and ask them if they can connect to a tent more close to them, and cut a piece from the existing cable to use yourself.
The fact that many people want to connect to the Dixie's directly also fills up the switches in there. Some Dixies at the end-points only have 24 ports and are getting full or are full (such as the crew field).
Please, except from knowledge, also share power and network! :-)
