Lessons learned and future activities / struggle against software patents

The software patents directive was rejected by a big majority in theEuropean Parliament in the beginning of July. What have we learnedfrom lobbying on European and national level? And how can we applythat information to other issues?

There is already a new directive proposed by the commission about theenforcement of "Intellectual Property" rights. There is also pressurefrom big media companies to make copyright last even longer than itdoes today. How are we going to make sure that the politicians willunderstand these issues and make the right decisions in the future?
