Lawful Interception Workshop
From What The Wiki?!
The Dutch Police is kind enough to offer a lawful interception workshop.
It is considered a great opertunity to bring the concentrated knowledge of the 16 dutch police officers present on the whatthehack campus together with the concentrated knowledge of modern systems engineering at whatthehack.
The workshop will take place at
Day 1-4 1600 every day at 1600
in the Police Truck located behind the speaker registration desk. Follow the entrance and go to the police truck on the left side.
Max. participants is 20 ppl. Please go to the Truck and get your ticket in advance!
\o/ Well, this article is fake, and seems to fool quite a lot of people - the police guys really have some party getting rid of the nerds ("We were really suprised how many already asked"). So feel free to go on and ask nicely for this lecture to chat a bit with the police guys, but dont expect to get in the truck or some kind of workshop.
Really nice social hack, congrats! :)
I agree, very nice. You even fooled an associated press reporter: http://www.forbes.com/infoimaging/feeds/ap/2005/07/28/ap2162687.html
Since it was a AP ticker message ist has been adopted by a lot of other online media:
The truck seems to have a strange look or am I too deep on psychadellics? ;-)
(well, obviously somebody "painted" some american looking seal on the truck's roof deflector, otherwise it's standard dutch police livery)
