HackTrain
From What The Wiki?!
There will be NO Hacktrain!
| |
[edit] Hacktrain is cancelled, there were way too few registrations.More info soon by Mail and on their website. We all feel very sad about it, and want to shout a very big Thank you to scamp and enno for their enthusiasm - they really did not deserve such an end. This sucks, and I really hope that those 500 pre-registerers feel somewhat ashamed - this is not what I consider fair play. --Fh 18:04, 3 Jul 2005 (CEST). The HackTrain is a specially chartered train, which picks up all the nerds in germany, who want to get to What The Hack.
The Hacktrain is cooperating with W00tstock village .
Have a look at the announcement on hacktrain mailinglist.
Hacktrain background
The challenge is open, but short of someone landing a spaceship on the main field, this has to be the winner in the 'coolest way to get to What The Hack' contest. In fact, it is so cool we know some Dutch people who will take a regular train to Mannheim so they can ride the Hacktrain all the way.
The ride is an event in itself and starts in Mannheim, goes all the way north to Hannover, and then west to What The Hack.
More information can be found at http://www.hacktrain.de/

Note: The price calculated is for 300 people joining Hacktrain.
