Benjamin Gimpert is a PhD student at University College London, and comes from an engineering background in computer science at Northwestern University in the U.S. His day job is developing Java financial trading applications for a firm in the City of London, but has endless nostalgia for the H/P scene on Chicago's dial-up BBS's in the 1980's.
