Description
The Belgian Embassy is the safe haven for the Belgian hacker visiting WTH, and also the place to be for everyone else to chill out and have a talk with your Belgian collegues. All the neccessary infrastructure will be present, including the obligatory minefield, various large tents with chillout area's, Cisco gear, more christmas lights than on christmas, lots of projectors, good soundsystem, full-featured bar, ... We will also make the lighting stuff controllable via a web interface.
If everyone brings as much tarps or camouflage nets, poles and ropes as they can we can build a shanti town to provide shade for our inhabitants and their tents (because waking up at 6AM in a tent preheated by the morning sun at 200°C isn't much fun)
The programme of what activities we shall undertake will be made up on the spot since we know we'll change our mind and come up with something else anyway.
UPDATE: zero2one and his crew of gangsters is probably coming to camp with us also with a 6x12something tent with solid floors
Current Status
Cronek 25 July 2005 03:06 (CEST): The buildup team will arrive at the WTH campsite somewhere around the evening of Monday 25. We will keep you updated with all the facts.
Cronek 25 July 2005 06:40 (CEST): Yeah in 2 hours I'll wake up and then at 11:00 adnoci will arrive here to load the stuff, then we'll do some last minute shopping for supplies and pick up some lcd projectors and be on our way. The not_ne2000 village crew should already be onsite causing all kinds of mayhem and disaster.
Cronek 26 July 2005 13:54 (CEST): aight tents set up etc. we got power but no network but that should be fixed today or tomorrow. The grass is very wet so bring extra socks and shoes.

What We Will Provide
- Crazy, stoned and drunk Belgian people

- Spacious tents for hanging around in (we prefer comfy chairs, sofas and laptops instead of standard chairs and tables)
- A bunch of fast Cisco switches to switch your packets
- Shade structures to place your tent under so you don't get cooked in your own sweat at sunrise
- Grade A soundsystem
- Public jukebox thing where you can upload music to the soundsystem (any suggestions on software? use at your own risk when I have to code it myself) and good (live?) electronic music
- Lots of wicked lighting controllable via web interface
- Multiple LCD Projectors projecting psychedelic stuff (like the rd-bomb screensaver) and movies
- Bar
- Bitches & root

We have been assigned to field A2, right next/behind the bar, between security.nl and cypherpunks.
WTH Map On the map this is currently saying colony.be, but they moved to a bigger and more quiet area (A4).
We will update this with the exact GPS coördinates when we get there.
Colony people intervention:
Like HAL2001 (very wet), the weather forcasts seems to predict a wet WTH2005. The (Belgian formation) Iguana colony has still a few vacant seats in their big tent if you need shelter. If you're interested, visit the Colony website for more information.
Ofcourse we provide this also but yeah if you want to sit down in front of a table instead of chill around in our lounge environment their thing might be for you :)
