Greg had a very interesting talk about why, despite all the wonderful techniques and features in search engines these days, you never seem to be able to find what you are looking for. It basically comes down to the fact that your 'need for information' cannot be translated into a simple query and get anwsered with the the documents that match.

The presentation also described some fundamentals of search engines and the way they work.
